The idea of the remix project sort of implied itself along the creation of the album: since I treated creating music as planning journeys in ‘cities’ that are made out of several dozens of sonic building blocks, I quickly realized that besides releasing music as ‘finished’ tracks, I very much wanted to share my experience of discovering such journeys with my fellow artists as well.

I believe this project opens up the structures and possibilities of ‘Automated Dances’, where each producer reacts true to their own artistic values and aesthetics. Exploring, experimenting and reconstructing is the very nature of what we do - with ‘AD Remixes’ we wanted to share the joy and excitement of all of these creative processes. At the same time, I consider ’AD Remixes’ to be a celebration of some of my dearest artists living and working in the cutting-edge electronic music scene today.
